Trim & Casing Services

Baseboard Installation

Floor-level trim in any profile — colonial, craftsman, or flat stock. Coped inside corners, mitered outside corners, and caulked for a paint-ready finish.

Door Casing

Interior door casing around prehung and existing frames. We miter the head casing, cope the side legs, and leave joints tight and aligned with the door reveal.

Window Trim & Aprons

Full window trim packages including stool, apron, side casings, and head casing. We build up the stool return so the sill reads as a finished unit.

Chair Rail & Wainscoting Cap

Chair rail run level across the room, with inside and outside corners handled correctly. We also cap wainscoting panels with a profiled rail if you are combining with beadboard.

Full Room Trim Package

Crown, baseboard, door casing, and window trim done in one coordinated sequence so profiles and reveals match room-to-room. Efficient for new construction or full renovations.

How It Works

Profile & Layout Review

We walk the rooms, measure openings and wall runs, and confirm reveal dimensions for door and window casing. We bring profile samples if you have not selected yet.

On-Site Cutting & Fitting

All cuts are made to fit your specific walls and openings. Inside corners are coped, outside corners are mitered. We test-fit before nailing.

Install & Finish Prep

Nailed, glued at joints, caulked at wall and ceiling lines, nail holes filled. Surface is paint-ready when we leave. No follow-up finishing visits required.

Craftsman interiors typically use flat, square-edged profiles: a 3.5-inch flat baseboard, square-edge door casing, and a simple flat head casing. No ogee or colonial profiles. We bring samples to confirm the look fits your existing millwork.
Most residential corners are not exactly 90 degrees. We measure each corner angle and cut accordingly rather than assuming 45 degrees. For badly out-of-square corners we use a coped cut, which produces a tighter joint than any miter adjustment alone.
We install and prep: cut, fit, nail, fill, caulk. We leave the surface ready for your painter. We do not paint. If you need a painting referral for a North Shore painter we work with regularly, just ask.
