What We Do

Basement Finishing Services

  • Framing and Drywall

Where every finished basement starts. We frame the walls and soffits, insulate to code, hang and finish the drywall, then leave you a flat, paint-ready surface with square corners throughout.

  • Egress Windows and Code

Required for any basement bedroom. We cut the opening, set the window and well, and keep the work in line with local egress code so the finished space passes inspection.

  • Flooring and Tile

Stone mosaic, tile, or plank. We handle subfloor prep and moisture control first, because a basement floor that was not prepped right telegraphs every flaw within a year.

  • Trim, Doors, and Millwork

Our specialty carried downstairs. Baseboard, casing, and door openings cut with mitered corners and scribed reveals so the basement reads as part of the house, not an afterthought.

  • Custom Bars and Entertainment Rooms

The part people come downstairs for. Custom cabinetry, butcher block and granite tops, gold geometric shelving, LED lighting, and the wiring behind it, all built after the shell is finished.

Finishing a basement starts with what the space actually looks like. Moisture conditions, concrete quality, what's already rough-in. We assess it all during the in-person visit. Some jobs need a permit. We tell you which yours is before work starts.

Our Process

How It Works

Step 1

Walk the Space

Every basement starts with a walkthrough. We check ceiling height, moisture, existing mechanicals, and where the egress has to go, because those four things decide what the finished layout can actually be.

Step 2

Build the Shell

Framing, insulation, drywall, and flooring first. The bar, the wet wall, and the lighting all depend on a shell that is square and dry, so we finish that stage completely before anything decorative goes in.

Step 3

Finish the Details

Trim, cabinetry, and lighting last. Butcher block tops, gold hardware, LED runs, and baseboard all get fitted by the same crew that framed the room, so the finish lines up with what is behind the wall.

Common Questions

FAQ

  • The whole basement. Framing, insulation, drywall, flooring, egress, and trim are the bulk of the work. The bar and entertainment build is the part people photograph, but it goes in last, on top of a finished shell.

  • Yes. A basement bedroom needs a code-compliant egress window, which we cut and install. For a bathroom we coordinate the rough plumbing before the framing goes in.

  • Most full basements run four to eight weeks depending on square footage, whether egress or plumbing is involved, and how custom the bar and cabinetry get. We give you a stage-by-stage schedule with the estimate.

  • Every basement is different. Square footage, ceiling height, egress, and how custom the bar work gets all move the number. Get a complimentary estimate and we will price your actual space.

"They framed and drywalled the whole basement before the bar ever went in. Walls are dead square and the trim matches upstairs exactly."

Alexei P.

Libertyville, IL

"We needed an egress window for a basement bedroom. They cut it, set the well, and it passed inspection the first time."

Rachel M.

Grayslake, IL

"The mosaic floor and the LED work under the bar came out better than the renderings. Crew cleaned up every single day."

Devin C.

Vernon Hills, IL

"Four weeks start to finish on a full basement. Same guys the whole time, and they walked us through each stage before it started."
